So: I am feeling better today; did some work in the yard, wrote 2,000 words, had a nice walk to Trader Joe’s (it was sunny!); and I am planning to go to yoga tomorrow, where I will ask the teacher to be easy on me, because sick, blah blah.

I know, it’s starting to sound repetitive to me too. Hopefully this time I can actually break out of the loop and GET BETTER and STAY BETTER! Now that I’m done with the meds, maybe that will actually happen.

Book group tonight, which was lively and interesting, held in one of our member’s spectacular downtown penthouse apartment, very urban and lovely, with astonishing views. Next month it’s at my house. I hope everyone isn’t too disappointed… (I am new to this group!) Oh well! At least I have a nice aquarium.

Thanks! We read "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency," and, frankly, we didn't have a lot to say about it. :-) Next month we're reading Tina Connolly's "Ironskin." That should be fun.

I'm new to this group so I don't really have a feel for them yet. A nice bunch of people, but I'm still feeling a bit shy. I'm sure that will change. :-)

Ooo. Ironskin is one of those books I WANT to read but always have either a book club book or a manuscript that has to come first. Dang it! Summer! Bring on Summer!

We're reading the Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey in our book club. It's a folktale retelling, but also women's fiction, so magical and tragic all at once! :)
